Stop and think about what you’ve been putting in your mind in the last 30 minutes. Were you on Facebook or Instagram looking at the lives of others?
Was it something to help you grow and improve in your life?
Have you ever stopped to think about what you’re filling your mind with?
The average American in a year:
- watches 1642 hours of TV
- spends 608 hours on social media
- spends 294 hours reading books
How do you compare?
If you are not where you want to be in your life, or you’re not getting the results you want, you probably need to change what you”re putting into your mind.
I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “You are what you think”.
(Reminds me of a joke about teenage boys!)
James Allen wrote a very insightful book, ‘As A Man Thinketh’ that points out the impact of our thoughts on our actions and success. And if you stop and look at what you put in your mind that impacts your thoughts, you will probably become concerned.
Just like a computer, what you put in your mind will determine who are in life.
So take a few minutes and look at your own life and how you spend your time.
Ask yourself these 3 questions:
- What am I filling my mind with?
- To have success in my life, what do I need to stop filling my mind with?
- To have a successful life, what will I begin filling my mind with?
The life we live, the person we become, is directly related to what we allow into our minds.
I’m continually reading, adding to my knowledge and molding my thinking. I’m now committed to helping, coaching and guiding others to think differently and find success in their life.
