Everyone has wants and wishes. You want a new car, a new house, or a new job. You wish you made more money, could lose weight, or retire early.

All the wanting and wishing in the world won’t get you anything.

It’s easy to wish. And wishing isn’t all bad. But if that’s all you do you’ll never get or have what it is you are wishing for.

My wife bought a little plastic genie bottle for our granddaughter with surprises inside. She told me how much she always enjoyed the show I Dream of Jeannie.

There are no magic genie bottles or lamps to rub and no genie to give you three wishes to make your dreams come true.

But you can make your dreams, wants and wishes come true. If you believe you will have it.

Vince Lombardi said, “A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done.”

Believe in yourself, believe you can, and believe you will have what you want.

The mind is a powerful tool.

There has been nothing created, built, or made that wasn’t first imagined. Once it was decided to make it happen it took belief to see it become reality.

If you want a new job, you must believe you will have it. You can’t approach an interview feeling unsure or timid. If you believe in your ability, your knowledge, and skills and that you are the best for the job, it will show on your face and in your actions.

Belief is the magic genie everyone is looking for.

Find a person whose belief is so strong that nothing can stand in their way, and you’ll see someone who succeeds at what they put their mind to. Learn from them and grow your own belief.
